Introduction

Soon, the new sourcing application will be launched. Below you find a guide which will introduce you to the new screens and features.

Login

Every user will receive a login and password via email. At first logon the user has to change the password.

My Recent Requests: the last 5 requests of the user
Recent Sourcing Answers: the last 5 sourcing answers (price answer from the sourcing team), overall, so also on requests from other users

Recent Sourcer Posts (Requests): the last 5 sourcer posts on the user's requests

Requests

This menu item contains the submenu items 'My requests' and 'New request'.

My Requests

This is an overview of the user's requests. The user can sort and filter his requests and get more details by clicking the details link.

New request

Entering a new requests happens in 3 steps.

Step 1) The user can choose to enter an I5 enquiry number or not. If so, the enquiry details are loaded. Click on an enquiry line to link the new request to the enquiry line.

Step 2) Choose purchase or subrent

Step 3) If the user has selected an enquiry line in the first step, the product will be searched for in the existing catalog. If the product doesn't exist in the catalog free form fields will be provided, populated with I5 data when available. If the user enters a value in the 'price' field, a hot request will be created. For the sourcing team this means: "If you can find me this product for this price, the customer will send a PO."
