How do I Open a Lotus Notes Application

Almost all application databases are stored on NotesUK1/Microlease, in a folder called Microlease Applications. (See table at the bottom for exactly where)

OK, so how do I open the one I want

  1. Press Ctrl+O for "open"

    • Lotus Notes is like any other program, Ctrl+O is the shortcut that opens files
  2. Choose NotesUK1/Microlease (or NotesUK2 see above) from the drop down (or type it in), and just double click the "Microlease Applications" folder to see all the Applications.

Now just double click the particular application you are interested in.

What to do if "computer says no" (Not Authorised to perform that......) when you open a file

If you see an access denied message, email helpdesk and copy in your line-manager, your manager should inform IT ServiceDesk of their consent.

Just as we can all open Microsoft Word documents by browsing the G drive, we can open Lotus Notes databases by browsing NotesUK1 or NotesUK2.
